    Muscatine Historic Preservation Commission
    Special Meeting
    January 31, 2005
     
     
    The Muscatine Historic Preservation Commission met in special session on
    Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at 5:15 p.m. in the Muscatine Community Development
    Office at the Muscatine City Hall. Members present included Diane Mayer­Day, Dan
    Clark, Jerry Lange, Maryrose Peterschmidt and Jim Nepple. Staff present included Jim
    Rudisill. Others present included Hailey Day.
     
    In the absence of the chair, vice­chair Peterschmidt chaired the meeting.
     
    The only agenda item was to act on approval of the downtown district and MPD
    nominations. An additional discussion on a proposal to erect a cell phone tower near the
    Octagon House was also discussed, but no action was taken.
     
    Clark moved to approve the MPD nomination; Mayer­Day seconded; motion
    passed, all ayes.
     
    Lange moved to approve the downtown historic district nomination; Mayer­Day
    seconded; motion passed, all ayes.
     
    Following additional discussion on the proposed cell tower, the meeting
    adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
