2. Resolution Approving Subordination Agreement

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a resolution approving a subordination agreement for

212 Grover Street. The owners of this property participated in the city’s 2006 CDBG Housing

Rehabilitation Program. As part of that program, they signed a mortgage agreement. They now wish

to refinance the property to take advantage of lower interest rates. Under the terms of the initial

contract between the city and the Iowa Department of Economic Development, the city may

consider all housing fund mortgages as secondary to any other property mortgage. The city has

provided similar documents for several prior subordination requests.
